Alexander Thies was born in
Frankfurt am Main in 1960and awarded his Masters in Business Administration
in 1988.
In 1989 Mr. Thies having entered the NFP Group and Finance of his
father, Franz Thies, in Berlin. He has served as a Shareholding
Manager there since 1993. The NFP Group develops and produces mainly
television movies and highly successful series for ARD, ZDF and
SAT.1. Under his lead NFP developed the international co-productions
with "A FAMILY FOR SISTER MARIA" with Maria Schell. In
addition, NFP produced the film version of the diaries of Victor
Klemperer, as well as "BONHOEFFER: AGENT OF GRACE," a
feature-length film about Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the German theologian
martyred in World War II, which has received an extraordinary amount
of international acclaim. The latest production the feature film
"Luther" has already grossed over 40 million USD in the
USA, Germany and Italy and was distributed in more than 35 countries.

Mr. Thies is a member of the board of BVDF (the Federation of German
Film Producers), a member of the plenary meeting of the Chamber
of Commerce and Industry in Berlin, as well as a member of the Filmboard
Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH, an advisory council.
NFP will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2006.
