Past Faculty Gordon Ashworth Federal Ministers The Honourable Stephan Dion, Minister of the Environment When Stephan was out he was the Minister of International / Inter Government Affairs & Queen's Privy Council for Canada. Stephan has joined our program at least 3 times. Chuck Strahl, Conservative MP & Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons and Chairman of the Committee of the Whole. Lee Richardson, M.P. / House of Commons. Lee has joined our program many times over the years. The Honourable Don Boudrias, Federal Speaker of the House of Commons, Government House Leader, & Liberal MP. Don has joined us at least 3 times over the years. Senator Michael Kirby, has come out to our program several times over the years. The Honourable Stockwell Day, has also been out a number of times. When Stockwell joined us he was in the provincial cabinet as Minister of Finance. He also has been Minister of Social Services, and Labour. Stockwell has joined our group twice over the years. Provincial Ministers The Honorable Christy Clark, was the Deputy Prime Minister of the Province of British Columbia and the Minister of Children and Family Development when she was out to Banff. She was also a Member of the Legislative Assembly representing the City of Port Moody. The Honourable Iris Evans, was the Minister of Children's Services for Alberta when she came out to our program. Iris has since been appointed Alberta's Minister of Health and Wellness. Iris has joined us several times. THE HONOURABLE Gary Mar, joined us when he was Minister of Health and Wellness. Now Gary is Minister of Community Development. Gary has joined us twice over the years. The Honourable Jim Wilson, was Ontario's 38th Minister of Northern Development and Mines plus the Minister of the Environment. The Honourable E. Peter Lougheed created this program with Doug Macnamara many years ago. Peter was Premier of Alberta from 1971 - 1985. Jim Dinning, was involved with our program years ago when we were connected with the Banff Centre. In the past Jim has been the Minister of Education. |
